Dragons! and Cons!

| Friday, April 23
We have decided we might use some of our rockin' tax refund this year to venture a few hours south to the 2010 Dragon*Con. I'm thinking this will be awesome! I've not been to a con before. I'm excited at the prospect of going. It's Labor Day weekend in September, so we've got time to plan.

I am not a wig-wearer, so any ideas or inspirations on costume ideas would be awesome! What do you guys think?

Cool. I don't know about Dragon*Con, and I've never been to a con before either, but it sounds like fun!

It's one of the biggest Cons in the South. It's in Atlanta every year. It's only a few hour drive from us.

That's awesome! I've never been to a con. But I'm scheming to one day put together a girl Mal costume. Guys get to have all the fun characters, and all we usually get is slave Leia or some slutty version of a superhero.

Oh my gosh. TOTALLY jealous!! I've been to a Trek con and a couple of Comic Cons.... I dressed up as Edward Scissorhands one year and a WoW night elf the other year. Unfortunately didn't have a costume for the Star Trek one :( You'll have an AMAZING time!!

I went to Dragon*con last year. It was fun. I'm more of a sci-fi geek and that didn't really feel like the focus of this particular con but I went with my mom who is into high fantasy stuff--vampires, werewolves etc.--and she had a total blast.

As far as costumes go...I don't know. Last year there was this awesome chick dressed as a giant Jayne hat. It was pretty much the hit of the con.
